I do have my opinions about what should be done by whom and how, but the important thing that we have to remember in making these arguments against the way things are done right now is that this needs to be a participatory and collaborative process. If I were to venture a proposal, it would have about as much validity as the current one. The whole point is to change the way the mega-event industrial complex operates - my work is of course implicated in that system and by trying to expose its mechanisms, try to shift something to the positive side of the balance.; September 6, 2012 at 11:41 AM

Clearly you have many concerns and as a American professor in Brazil I'm sure it would have great interest just like the American ambassador who spoke out about the level of corruption which was featured in VEJA.

I appreciate your insight I just would like to know what would be your solutions.
